There are many different species of desert parsley in the world. Here in the Northwest, we have a large number of species and each is similar to all the others. Most of this family, Lomatium, have yellow flowers. There are a couple that have red and a couple that have white flowers. But you can differentiate between them by studying the leaves of each plant. Notice on this Barestem variety, the stem is not really bare; it just has sparse leaves. Look for this in fields and drier areas.
