A truly individual wildflower. There are only three native carnivorous plants here in the Pacific Northwest.The Darlingtonia is one of these plants, luring its prey into its tube, which has downward facing hairs that keep the insects trapped. It lives in slowing running water only in southern Oregon and into northern California.
