Growing in moist areas from the lowlands up to sub-alpine locals. Very easy to identify as the flowers usually grow taller than a majority of the wildflowers. It is shrubby, with many branches and leaves. Each inflorescence has many flowers per branch, all with up to twenty stamens per flower. The Douglas’s Spiraea has a close relative called the Rosy Spiraea, also found on this website.
