Similar to the Pacific Waterleaf, Fendler’s Waterleaf also grows in moist shady areas. The leaves are hairy and each leaf has up to a dozen leaflets, all lobed but not as sharp as the Pacific Waterleaf. The flowers are white and the stamens extend beyond the petals, each tipped with anthers of a rich brownish red color.
