Not a native to the Northwest, Fuller’s Teasel grows in moist areas near streams and meadows. The flower head is the distinguishing feature of this wildflower, with many tiny purple flowers on a prickly cone. Each flower head has four or five bracts that curl up past the inflorescence. These bracts and the leaves are pointy and sharp.
