We have three types of blackberries growing wild in the Columbia Gorge. All are very common and have different leaf patterns to distinguish them from another. There are multiple thorns on the stems, so beware! The flower has five petals and multiple stamens. The berries are very tasty but the thorns make them hard to harvest. Like other berries, I leave these for the wildlife to enjoy.
