The Large-leaved Avens is found over many parts of the world, yet is still native to the Pacific Northwest. The vivid yellow flowers are numerous on each stalk, and stalks can grow over two feet tall. Each flower has many stamens. The basal leaves are almost rounded, having three lobes, and as the leaves go up the stem, the lobes become deeper and the leaves are many toothed. Look for this wildflower is damp areas.
