Another member of the Aster family, Northwestern Rabbit-tobacco is sometimes called Slender Cudweed. These grow in dry areas east of the Cascade Mountains. These grow in a dense inflorescence with many flowers, all with yellow centers, much like it’s relative, Pearly Everlasting. The leaves are pale green to grey, with short hairs on the stems. All photos below were taken on Crofton Ridge trail, August 26, 2026.
