A close relative of the Gold Star, Oregon Sunshine is sometimes called Woolly Sunflower. The Oregon Sunshine has more rays than the Gold Star, and has pale colored stems that have white hairs on them. The leaf pattern is unique to this wildflower. These often grow in large fields, covering the ground. This wildflower usually blooms from May to August.
