Sometimes called Prince’s Pine or Western Prince’s Pine, Pipsissewa grows in shade in forested areas, usually in mid elevations. The flowers have five petals, all facing down, with ten stamens that are prominent. Leaves are oblong, toothed and leathery. Often there are five or more flowers per stem.
