All onions seem similar. You have to really look closely to find the differences, and they are sometimes hard to identify. The Scalloped or Olympic Onion usually has leaves that are not as long as the stem of the flower, but this is not always true. There is also usually a pink vein in the middle of each petal. Found in rocky soil, mostly west of the Cascades.
