The Small Flowered Tonella is truly one of the smallest wildflowers I have ever seen, or missed on so many hikes. The next to the last photo here shows a comparison to an SD card, which measures about one inch wide and an inch and a half long. So the flower is easy to walk right past while hiking. But it is a most complex little wildflower. Rich blues or purples show the pattern on the petals, with white in the center. The Small Flowered Tonella grows in shady locations.
