Many of my favorite wildflowers are tiny and often hard to see as you hike by. The Subterranean Clover is one of these types of wildflowers. It loves at the edges of trails and roadbeds and in grassy meadows. The leaves, like almost all clovers, has three lobes which are heart shaped. The tiny flowers have delicate veins that range from pink to purple.
