The Thimbleberry is one of the tastier berries growing in the Pacific Northwest. I usually leave the berries to the wild animals but I had to taste at least one to know about these. The red berries are similar to redcap raspberries, but there are no thorns on either the stalks or the leaves. The largish white flower has five petals and multiple pale yellow stamens.
