We used to call this wildflower Canada Goldenrod, but now it is named Western Goldenrod. Leaves of this plant are lanceolate and finely toothed along the edges. There are many flowers in an inflorescence, in a pyramidal shape. Growing in gravelly and open areas from lower to sub-alpine elevations, Western Goldenrod stands out with it’s vivid yellow flower head.
