Yellow Salsify is sometimes called Yellow Oyster Plant. This is a tall wildflower, ranging up to two feet tall. The flower has bracts that are longer than the petals and green instead of bright yellow like the petals. The leaves are grasslike, thin and tall. When the Yellow Salsify ages and goes to seed, the seed heads are very geometric looking.
