The Gnome Plant is very rare, found in moist conifer forests. I have seen this wildflower only once, along the PCT just north of Forest Road 60 where they cross at Crest Horse Campground. In subsequent years my timing has been off and I have not seen it again. The inflorescence is a raceme of densely packed flowers, pale yellow, creamy or pink in color. The fruit are little berry-like modules that are white.
