Unlike many of the other myco-heterotrophic wildflowers, the Snowplant stands out. Its scarlet coloration really differs from the duff of the forest floor. This incredible wildflower only grows in southern Oregon and into California and some of Nevada. All photos were taken in Lassen Volcanic National Park, some on the drive in and some on along the Chaos Crags trail, June of 2022.
